Chemistry in Albertopolis Conference

Join us for an exploration of the 150-year history of chemistry in Albertopolis, the cultural and scientific quarter at the heart of South Kensington.

This one-day conference will feature sessions and tours celebrating the institutions which helped to make chemistry a key facet of intellectual and public life in this pocket of West London and beyond.

'Chemistry in Albertopolis' is part of ChemFest 2019, a season of events jointly organised by the Science Museum, Imperial College London, the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the 1851 Commission and the Royal College of Arts.

To complement the historical focus of the conference there will be a follow-on event on 12 April—'Chemistry Futures 2040', exploring the future of chemistry. Further details will be announced in early 2019.

Tickets are free but places are limited—book online via the pink button above.
