Guardian Live: Building The Hospital Of The Future

Join us for an expert-led discussion about how hospitals can harness the latest technological developments and what the future of hospitals might look like.

Hospitals have played a part in human society for around 2,500 years and are constantly evolving to meet the challenges of the day—the modern hospital has a very different set of requirements to the hospital of fifty years ago.

But what needs to happen to bring hospitals up to date with the latest tech developments, and what might they look like in 20, 50 or even 100 years from now?

In partnership with The Guardian Live we present an in-depth discussion chaired by The Guardian’s Healthcare Policy Editor Denis Campbell. The following panel of speakers will join us for a fascinating evening:

  • Lord Professor Ara Darzi—Co-Director, Institute of Global Health Innovation, Imperial College; Co-Director, Helix Centre
  • Natasha McEnroe—Keeper of Medicine, Science Museum
  • Christopher Shaw—Chair, Architects for Health
  • Dame Eileen Sills—Chief Nurse, Director of Patient Experience and Infection Control, Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust

Please note: this event takes place in the Smith Centre located at the Science Museum. The entrance will be via the Courtyard on Imperial College Road, next to the Science Museum Group Entrance.
