Science Museum Lates are adults-only, after-hours theme nights that take place in the museum on the last Wednesday of every month.

Join us for a special Lates this July to celebrate the last century of TV, radio and streaming. There’ll be fascinating talks, illuminating tours, hands-on workshops and much more to explore!

It’s time to get nostalgic! Come and create a collage representing a broadcast you’ve seen or heard that has stayed with you, using the weird and wonderful objects in our collections. It can be anything from a fond memory of kids TV to a ground-breaking documentary that inspired you to make a change.

Whether you’re practising your moves or just in the mood to slam dunk the funk, grab a headset, select your tunes and dance until you drop. Entry £3 per person (card payments only)—tickets available in the Exploring Space gallery on the night.

Join us for a pub quiz and test your knowledge! Entry £2 per person (card payments only)—tickets available at the Diner.

Get the night started and be the first to try our range of cocktail, wine, beer and soft drinks.

Energy Café, Level 0

Head to the Energy Café for stone-baked pizzas, thai fragrant chicken curry, rainbow trout and greek salad.   

Making the Modern World Bar, Level 0 

Our hot dog pop-up serves all tastes, with a variety of topping options from bacon crumbs to rainbow slaw. Beers, wines, ciders and soft drinks also available. 


While taking part in the pub quiz, enjoy a wide range of drinks available throughout the night. 

Shake Bar, Level 3

Our famous milkshake bar gets enhanced at night with a range of alcoholic shakes. Beers, wines, and soft drinks.


  • All Lates visitors will need to pre-book a free or VIP ticket in advance, to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit
  • General admission tickets are free and timeslots start from 18.45
  • VIP tickets are £10, with early entry timeslots starting from 18.30, and include a free drink as well as 15% off in the museum shop on the night
