Come and join our drop-in creative light workshop, where you can build your very own lantern projector and use it to project images from the Science Museum’s collection.
Put together a simple electrical circuit and a lantern casing to mount it in, then choose from a collection of slides depicting important objects from science history including Stephenson's Rocket, a Penny Farthing and Tracy the Sheep.
Put your slide into your lantern projector and watch as the image appears on the wall, then give it your own personal creative twist by placing coloured acetate over the lens.
Sounds like a good idea? We definitely think it's a 'lightbulb moment'.
