The Guilty Feminist: Women In Medicine

Listen to this special livestreamed recording of the smash-hit podcast The Guilty Feminist.

Following their sell-out event at the Science Museum in 2018, the award-winning comedy podcast presented by Deborah Frances-White returned to the museum. This live virtual show, that took place on Thursday 4 March 2021, discussed all things women in medicine and healthcare and featured special guests :

  • Jo Brand (co-presenter)—BAFTA-winning comedian, actor, writer and former psychiatric nurse, whose many writing credits include Getting On, acclaimed for its realistic portrayal of an NHS hospital.
  • Dame Sally Davies DBE—UK Special Envoy on Antimicrobial Resistance, Master of Trinity College Cambridge, and former Chief Medical Officer for England.
  • Angela Saini—science journalist, author of ‘Inferior: How Science Got Women Wrong’ and ‘Superior: The Return of Race Science.’

This event was part of the Science Museums Groups Open Talk programme, a series of events that aims to promote STEM to everyone and to encourage an understanding of both the causes and effects of discrimination.
